Hertfordshire Action on Disability is an association of over twenty Local Area Committees covering most of the major towns and some of the villages in Hertfordshire.
Each area Committee is responsible for its own funding and day to day decisions. They organise social events and make grants to local disabled people to cover the cost of necessary equipment not available from other sources.
The Association headquarters in Welwyn Garden City undertakes major projects which benefit the whole county.

• HOLIDAY HOTEL The operation of a purpose-built Holiday Hotel at Clacton on Sea.

• TRANSPORT SERVICE The operation of a Wheelchair Accessible Transport Service based at Welwyn Garden City.

• EASIER LIVING EXHIBITION An 'Easier Living Exhibition' of specialise equipment for disabled people.

• WHEELCHAIR HIRE A short term wheelchair hire service.

• DRIVING SCHOOL A Driving Assessment Centre and Driving School with our own fully adapted car.

• BENEFITS ADVICE An Information Service offering Benefits Advice and information on other services available to disabled people.

• COUNSELLING SERVICE A Counselling Service for disabled people, their family and carers.

• HERTS ACTION Hertfordshire Action on Disability runs a support organisation called 'Herts Action' which issues a newsletter every two months to anyone wishing to support the association and its work by making a single minimum donation of £10.00 per year. Members of 'Herts Action' also receive a discount on any events staged by the Association.
